Ashley, Dusty and Max Cochran |

It has been an interesting week for Dusty, Max and I. Dusty and Max had a fun time together over the weekend, but Max didn't sleep very well both nights. We just assumed it was either because he is used to me putting him to bed, or his teething. But when it continued Sunday night after he was medicated and I put him to bed, we started to do some investigating. It took us last night to finally track down the culprit. The nights he doesn't sleep well are the nights he gets squash for dinner. So something in the squash is bothering his stomach and we won't be doing that anymore! Fortunately for me, Dusty leaves today with my dad to get their hunt on, so Dusty was more than willing to get up and take care of Max the couple times last night he needed us and I could sleep. What a loving husband! Max and I have lots of plans for the weekend and then head up with my mom to the lakehouse for Thanksgiving and a little R&R. I hope you have a great Thanksgiving!

We had Max's 6 month checkup and everything came back great as usual. He did gain a bit in his height and is now in the 10% compared to other babies his age, but dropped down to the 25% with his weight. So really, he is still a little twerp, but at least it makes it easier to lug him around! I think he will shoot up one day when we aren't expecting it but I won't wish it any time soon. I kinda like having my cute little baby that I can put down and come back and he is still right there. But no, he is getting ready to move. He keeps trying to pick himself up to a crawling position and can wiggle himself around on his belly really good now. Maybe Dad will have him crawling this weekend while I'm out of town for girl's weekend.

Max, Dusty and I had a nice weekend. Friday, Max got picked up at daycare early by Suzanne and Rosemary and hung out with them and Lyla. Dusty and I joined them for dinner then after work. Saturday Max and I did a lot of cleaning around the house while Dusty helped put some lights in at Katie and Andrew's. Then Dusty came home to hang out with Max and I left to go to pot stickers at Bridget's and Anna's and after that met up with Alicia for her bachlorette party. Sunday my coworkers came over to watch the Packers/Vikes game and since we have a good mix of both fans some left happy and some not so much. But the food and company was good so no complaints here. Today Max will be going in for his 6 month check up so we can see if he is still a shrimp or not!
Also, I decided to change things up a bit and will now be linking to my photo album's on facebook instead of using photoshop. I think Facebook has a nicer presentation. So click on the Max link in the photo gallery if you haven't seen my Max photo album on Facebook. There are a bunch of cute pictures up there!

First I need to say "Happy Birthday Dusty". He turned 26 on Saturday and thanks to Katie and Andrew I think he had a good time. We went shopping and for our birthdays we bought ourselves a new TV. We went out to dinner with Katie and Andrew at the new Hibachi restaurant in Woodbury, and then to there house for a bonfire with some family and friends. Max was an adorable Tigger on Friday. Check out the pictures in the photo gallery! Sunday we went to Jim and Pam's and helped them cut and load wood for their woodburning stove. Max was spoiled by Pam, and pooped out by the end of the night, but happy as could be! Hopefully you had a great Halloween too.

It was a nice relaxing weekend. Max and I both have colds so we weren't in top form, but that was alright because we both just hung out at home all day Saturday and all morning Sunday. Then we went to Alicia's bridal shower and Rosemary's birthday party but since Max didn't get an afternoon nap with all the excitement he was a bit out of character and crabby, but there were plenty of people on hand to bounce him around. He also got to eat peas this weekend so he is now up to eating a few different things and really enjoys smashing the food all over his face!

I am sick of driving! Max and I headed up to Ino to spend the weekend with Great Grandpa John and to see my Uncle and Aunts. It was a nice, relaxing weekend and Max was amazing both for the trip up and also while we were there. I didn't sleep very well since Max and I shared a room and he is a really noisy sleeper, but it was still a good time with some excellent Sunday Soup.
We left Sunday morning and headed to Hayward to help my Dad pull the boat out of the lake. We only stayed for an hour and a half and Max was in the car seat for about 45 minutes of it while we loaded up the boat so he was pretty restless, but we had to continue on home so I didn't have a very happy baby for a good portion of the ride home. Once we got home I let Max tire himself out in his bouncer and I unpacked. When Dusty got home we loaded Max into the car seat AGAIN, and went to Roseville to meet a man I bought Wild Hockey tickets from for this Thursdays game against Buffalo. Naturally we need to go to the game since Kelsey's whole family will be there to cheer on Thomas. Luckily Max fell asleep pretty quickly and was put to bed when we returned home. Dusty and I ate some deep fried chicken we picked up at Cub on our way home at 8pm at night and then I went to bed. It was a long weekend, but I still had a really good time!

We had an exciting weekend. Max and I helped Jeff and Cecil at the market for a while Saturday morning. Then my mom came over to watch Max so that Dusty and I could go to a wedding with Katie and Randy, Andrew was the best man. That was a lot of fun and I have the blisters on my feet to prove it! (All that dancing you know.) Sunday Max had his first tastes of rice cereal and he was so damn cute about it. He didn't seem to mind it at all, but he also was not sure what to do and wanted to suck the spoon or grab it more than actually swallow. Oh well, he'll get it soon and then he'll be eating like a champion! This week should be pretty laid back which is nice since last week we had something going on every single afternoon. Hopefully you had a good weekend too!

Happy Birthday to my daddy! Max and I had an even more eventful weekend than we had planned. Max's cold turned into a cough which meant less sleep for the both of us, and I was really lucky to get pink eye Friday evening. So we spent time at the doctor's office Saturday morning, we still went dress shopping that afternoon but we skipped the family pow-wow to get to bed early. Sunday we went to the farm to help can stewed tomatoes and I was so tired I went to bed a little before 8am. Max still had a tough night, waking up 3 times, but Dusty helped him get back to sleep for 2 of the times which was really nice.
Also in exciting news. Thanks to everyone that helped with the 1 Buck for FA, they reached their goal this month! If you want to check it out again, http://www.firstgiving.com/1buck4fa.

Man am I tired! This week wasn't too eventful, but I'm still pretty worn out. I think the fall weather does that as your body goes into hibernation mode. We had the farm on Wednesday and both Max and Lyla were crabby so Katie, Cyd and I had fun trying to keep them from crying. Thursday night was my Discovery Toys party so once again Max got to bed late. Grandma put him to bed so he was happy! Tonight Max and I are staying in and sleeping, I plan to go to bed early. Dusty has a bachelor weekend planned so he won't be around to bug us. Max and I will be bridesmaid dress shopping on Saturday and then have the Young family pow-wow. Sunday is going to be a pajama day I think and my grandma may come over to visit with us too!
